Florilow Oaks is located on U.S. 301, just about 2 miles north of Bushnell in Central Florida.  The setting is rural with many beautiful oak trees and a small pond. It was purchased in 1984 by a group of members of Loners on Wheels for the purpose of making it a park for loners.
It is operated by a Park Manager under the direction of a Board of Directors consisting of nine elected members.  A maintenance man also resides on the premises.  We now welcome loners of any travel club and it has become a popular meeting place for many loners who spend their winters in Florida.

We are a corporation made up of single individuals who have purchased shares of stock in the corporation that owns the park.  To learn more about the concept of this unique park, I suggest that you
visit us and learn first hand what it is all about.  Reservations are not necessary from May 1 through October and there are always loners here, as many of us live here year round.

Our campgrounds rental sites are a very important part of our park and we have accommodations for both long term and short term camping.  All our rental sites have water and electricity, but in the winter season our full hook-up sites are held for reservations of a least four (4) months.  We have a dump station available to all our campers.

We are very proud of our nice recreation hall, clean restrooms and showers, a laundry and black topped roads throughout the park.  The activities in the Park are many and varied. Parties, pot lucks, bingo, crafts, games, cards, or just meeting with friends are among them.  Outdoor activities include shuffleboard and horseshoes.  The roads throughout the park are great for biking or walking.  You may also enjoy bowling, golfing, fishing, dancing and swimming on a regular basis as you only have to travel a few miles for these events.  Yes, we do like pets and have a dog walking area. All pets must be leashed.

The town of Bushnell is the county seat of Sumter County and although not large, offers about any type of professional service and business you might need.  It has a shopping center and there are larger towns of Leesburg in Lake County and Inverness in Citrus County only about 20 miles away that have full service medical facilities and other services to fill your needs. 
We have 24 hour emergency and ambulance service available also.

You are always welcome to stop in at Florilow Oaks any time of the year.  In the busy winter season it is best to contact us ahead of time as knowing your approximate time of arrival, the size and type of your rig makes it easier for us to have something available for you.  We are looking forward to seeing you here in the near future.
