CHANGES:
Do not change campsite without checking with the office. That site may already be assigned to someone else.
CHECK OUT TIME:
Check out time is 11 a.m. Please notify the office before then if you plan to stay longer. Additional charges may apply.
DUMP STATION:
On the pond road. PLEASE wash down the concrete before leaving.
FIRES:
No open fires permitted in the camping areas. A campfire is permitted in the campfire ring.
LAUNDRY:
Coin wash and dry or use drying lines in the yard behind the laundry. Report any problems with machines to the office. No wash lines are permitted in the camping areas.
LIBRARY:
A selection of books and videos is available in the laundry room. You may borrow what you like but please return as soon as you are finished with them.
MAIL:
Delivered Monday through Saturday afternoons. Your name will be posted on the Chalk Board when you have mail. Mail will be placed inside the Rec. Hall east of the door. Please erase your name from the board after picking up your mail.
PETS:
Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash, kept quiet and not left unattended in camp. Persons residing at Florilow Oaks Campground are limited to two dogs. Dobermans, Rottweilers and Pit Bulls are not allowed in the Park. No pet will be allowed without a leash. No pet should be left outside unattended. No pets will be permitted at social gatherings or in park structures. Owners MUST clean up after their pets by placing excrement in a bag or other suitable container. Burying, scattering or disposing of excrement on Park property is prohibited. All pets must be inoculated for rabies, parvo, distemper and/or other necessary shots and proof of inoculation made available upon request. The continuous barking of dogs will be referred to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office for resolution.
RATES:
Our rates are based on one (1) person per site unless you are paying the couples rate. If you have an overnight guest you will be charged $2.00 per guest per night. We do not make bed checks so this is an honor rate. Please make arrangements to pay at the office. All rates are subject to change. There are no refunds for early departure
RECYCLING:
Newspapers go in the newspaper dumpster next to the trash dumpster. Aluminum cans - crushed and placed in a container located at the rear of the Rec. Hall. All monies go into the social fund.
TELEPHONE SERVICE:
Telephone service is available to most sites through Embarq 1-800-339-1811. You are responsible for any charges and they should be billed directly to you. A FREE phone is available at the back of the Rec. Hall. No long distance charges can be made to this phone, but you can call collect or use a calling card. There is also a phone jack for computer hookups. Emergency calls can be directed to the office 352-793-6487 and the message will be delivered to you as soon as possible.
TRANSPORTATION:
Cars and Trucks should stay on the paved surface between white lines, do not detour through sites. All roads are one-way and speed limit is 10 mph. Please give bicycles, pedestrians and golf carts time to get out of your way. Pedestrians should not cut across other campers sites. Please park your vehicle at least 3 feet from the paved surface. Motorcycles are to be used for transportation in and out of the campground only.
TRASH:
A dumpster is located on the north side of the pond for your trash. Wrap trash securely. No large cardboard boxes please. Cardboard and yard waste will be burned by maintenance crew. Place in front of your campsite or in the burn pit behind the maintenance facility.
VEHICLES:
All renters are allowed one (1) RV and one (1) other vehicle per site, if you have additional vehicles you will be charged for storage at a rate of $35.00 per month. All storage sites must be assigned by management. Parking on unoccupied sites is not permitted. RV’s over 36 foot long are not accepted.
